Lizardfolk

The Lizardfolk are a family of monsters in Mistfall Hunter. Nearly all Lizardfolk are kin to the dragon race.
Elite Lizardfolk Warrior
Elite Lizardfolk are masters of combat who fight with spiral-patterned armor, a blade and a shield. The reports of the Mistchasers confirm it: they are extremely dangerous warriors, far stronger than other Lizardfolk. Many villagers who ran into an Elite Lizardfolk Warrior were never seen again.
Their heavy armor protects both body and head. They wield long curved blades and shields and are fearsome in melee. The only part not covered by armor is their thick tail, which they use for balance and, when needed, as a weapon.
Masters of adapting to their surroundings, Elite Lizardfolk Warriors can spot a target from afar and close the distance with a single leap. Against strong opponents or groups, they swing their tails wide to sweep enemies off their feet and set up the next attack.
Like other Lizardfolk, they roam the outskirts of Brandrgarde, such as Lake Iris and the Abyssal Gorge, and are sometimes seen closing in on the fortress. Unlike the others, Elite Lizardfolk Warriors prefer to hunt alone and keep their distance from their kin.
Lizardfolk Priest and Lizardfolk Soldier
As loyal servants of the Black Dragon Kalan, the Blackscale Lizardfolk followed their master into the Abyss to guard him, living a harsher and more primitive life than their distant relatives. Most are well-trained warriors and have long threatened Brandrgarde, keeping its guards constantly on alert. Blackscale shamans and warriors are not strong on their own; fighting as a group is what makes them a real threat.
Lizardfolk ambush the unwary from behind, or let out beastly roars that leave their prey disoriented. Low-ranking Lizardfolk usually wear little armor and rely on agility and cunning. The Gyldenmist has little effect on the minds of these half-souled demi-humans; instead, it makes them stronger.
Lizardfolk Priests like to lure their prey close, then release a beam of energy that damages everything in its path. Lizardfolk Soldiers attack more directly, leaping in over short distances with simple blades. While stalking or preparing a frontal attack, Lizardfolk twist their bodies as they approach, which makes them much harder to hit.
For now the Lizardfolk mainly patrol Lake Iris and the Abyssal Gorge, which makes those areas especially dangerous. Some reports say they occasionally appear near other entrances, but they never seem to stay long.
Dragonkin Lizardfolk
The Dragonkin Lizardfolk are followers of the Black Dragon Kalan. They fought in the Black Dragon's assault on the surface and, after Kalan was sealed away, went dormant in the underground world of the Abyssal Reach. They adapted to its strange and terrible climate and even use its native resources, such as parasitic fungi, to make their weapons. As the Gyldenmist closes in, Blackscale scouts are also seen in Hallowgrove from time to time.
