Full release announcement
Mistfall Hunter launched on July 30, 2026. The announcement covered:
- Editions: a Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition, with an upgrade option from Standard to Deluxe. The Deluxe Edition includes exclusive rewards and a large amount of Fate Coins, which can only be spent on cosmetics in the game.
- Launch discount: 10% off for about 14 days after release.
- New content at launch:
- A new weapon school for the Withered Knight: polearm and shield.
- Holy-quality weapons with their own gameplay affixes (see Holy).
- A Cataclysm difficulty mode for Brandrgarde.
- Season 1, Soul Hunt, with season quests, events and a themed game mode.
- The Collection Pedestal, to show off your loot in the camp.
- A ladder and rank reward system.
- More cosmetics and a battle pass (the Season 1 pass is free).
- The new weapon school for the Blackarrow was postponed to a later season.
- Performance: work on Unreal Engine shader stutter, smoother loading when many characters appear at once, and ongoing frame rate and memory optimization, plus fixes for several random crashes.
- Bug fixes included one-click purchases failing, being unable to leave spectator mode, a tactical item effect staying active, server-wide mail not arriving, Xbox login problems with large friend lists, reconnecting after a disconnect during loading, getting stuck after a Knight skill hit while crouching, and loot that could not be picked up.
Test and release schedule update
An earlier announcement explained that the test and release plans were being delayed:
- Since the previous test, the team had developed the new Withered Knight class, new level mechanics and systems, and targeted fixes for player feedback.
- The team decided to make deep changes, including a rework of the core combat mechanics to make fights freer and smoother, and mechanics to reduce level pressure while keeping matches fun. Balancing PvP and PvE, the classes, solo and squad play, and the long-term economy needed more time.
- The BETA 4 test was planned for the Steam Next Fest on June 15, 2026, with the global release in July.
- A PlayStation 5 version was announced, to launch in July together with the Xbox and PC versions.
- A small invite-only test was also planned for April 2026.
