- Ruins
- After the gods fell, Brandrgarde and Hallowgrove were left in ruins and their people lost their faith. Now only Gyldhunters roam these monster-filled ruins, hunting monsters for Gyldenblod.
- Avoid the Gyldenmist
- Staying in the Gyldenmist drains your Health quickly. Move to the safe zone ahead of time to avoid it.
- Returner Woodling
- Listen for the sounds and effects of a Returner Woodling appearing and fighting to find it quickly and extract.
- Strong enemies
- When you challenge a strong enemy in a red zone on the map, a barrier forms that keeps other Gyldhunters out. Interact with the barrier to leave it.
- Get ready
- Active skills and talents can be changed at any time; remember to adjust them before each run.
- Mist Lord
- If a Mist Lord is too strong for you, go to the mist gate to give up the challenge.
- Mist Lord
- Defeating a Mist Lord opens a portal that can help you reach the safe zone quickly.

- Aim
- Before attacking, use the mouse to turn the camera and aim at the enemy.
- Effective range
- Each kind of ranged damage has an effective range. Beyond it, damage and impact fall off.
- Energy
- If you run out of Energy you cannot use Energy skills for a short time.

- Press the skill info key in combat to read the description of all your current skills.
- Use your items

- Dual blades
- With dual blades, the Shadowstrix uses primary attack for light hits and secondary attack for heavy hits; mixing them creates different follow-up moves.
- Sword and shield
- With sword and shield, the Mercenary holds secondary attack to block, reducing damage by the Block Damage Reduction Rate. Monster rage attacks cannot be blocked.
- Hammer
- With the hammer, the Mercenary holds secondary attack to charge. A full charge launches a long charge attack with super armor the whole way.
- Blackarrow
- The Blackarrow can carry up to 3 kinds of special arrows. Marksman arrows focus on damage; hunter arrows have special utility.
- Sorcerer
- Fireball, Thunder Call, Shooting Star and Stardust Torrent can be tapped to cast a weaker version that costs no Energy.
- Sorcerer
- The Sorcerer must pick one school: Stardust magic or Elemental magic.
- Healing
- When it is not urgent, heal with Healing Elixirs. Save the precious Springhorn for when you need Health fast.
- Triumphant Drink
- Before heading out, visit Sigrid for a drink. Pick affixes that can trigger extra effects to get the most out of it.
- Curse pillars
- Getting close to the horse-head curse pillars in the fortress hurts you. Hit the top of a pillar to break it for a while.
- Advanced chests

- A yellow or red marker above a monster means the power gap is very large. Think twice!
